Project Summary

I created a slideshow in which I researched and demonstrated my understanding of five side hustles. Side hustles are alternative ways to generate income, aside from your primary or traditional job. They can help bring in extra income, especially if you have time to spare or are simply looking for something to occupy your mind.

You can start a side hustle from the comfort of your own home with the power of the internet. Specifically, the side hustles I presented in this project were all able to be done completely from the internet.

Side hustles are small but significant activities done outside of your normal schedule that can help bring a little bit more money into your pocket. Not only that, but it can help gain experience in a broader variety of skills.

Reflection

• This was a memorable project for me because I grasped a lot of new information through the research I conducted. It made me realize that there were many, many ways to make profit.

• I was challenged in finding good, reputable sources for my slideshow. The assignment provided a few links, but I felt like those were not sufficient enough to include everything I wanted in the slideshow.

• After putting the slideshow together, I realized that I had also made a way to compare and contrast the five side hustles I chose. This was rewarding to me, as it inspired me to start investigating a specific side hustle (SaaS) further.

• I approached this project by first conducting research on various side hustles. There are specific details I was required to include in the slides, such as potential income and resources needed to get started. After researching a good variety of side hustles, I selected the five which stood out the most to me.

• If I could revisit this assignment, I would spend more time researching the drawbacks of every side hustle. Throughout the slideshow, I talk about why one should commit to side hustles but I don't really discuss the cons of them. It would allow the audience to better evaluate whether a side hustle would benefit them or not.
